Hi there...haven't seen you for a while!

Wow!! It has been so long since I have written a post! I have been so busy with graduate school! I am so excited to say that I have officially completed my first semester of graduate school in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD)! It was such an amazing learning journey! I learned so much about so many things, I cannot even begin to start telling you everything.
So some news...
1) On February 1st of this year, something sad happened to our church family...our pastor passed away. This was such a tragedy, but i think I learned a lot from it and so did our church. I think our church family has grown closer because of this and especially our youth. We had a pastor from Germany, whom our church is affiliated with, come over to the US and talk to us the Sunday after it had happened, and after that I realized again, that God does everything for a reason. We may not see it right away, or ever, but he is in total control.
2) Next, I applied for a federally funded infant mental health program that would go from Summer 2016 to Summer 2017, in-between my two years of CSD Master's program.  This program is federally funded (FREE), only 8 people get accepted, and at the end you are certified as an infant mental health specialist!! Well,....I got accepted!!! I am so excited and was officially registered for classes on May 27th and am starting classes on June 6th!!
3) I worked from January to May at this wonderful school for special children and loved it. I was a teacher assistant in different rooms and was so sad to go because f this program being somewhat intense throughout the summer. This children were so precious.
4) I am excited for something coming up this weekend....I might get to see some of my cousins on my Dad's side that I usually only see once during the year! So excited for this and thankful for all of them. I also might hear the King's Army (my dad and his brother's) sing! Yayyyy!!!
Well, this is currently all I think of to update everyone, so here is a song in closing!
(oh yeah, forgot to mention that I have been listening to the gather vocal band recently and this is one of my favorites that they sing!)

He Touched Me

Shackled by a heavy burden,
'Neath a load of guilt and shame.
Then the hand of Jesus touched me,
And now I am no longer the same.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know,
He touched me and made me whole.

Since I met this blessed Savior,
Since He cleansed and made me whole,
I will never cease to praise Him,
I'll shout it while eternity rolls.

He touched me, Oh He touched me,
And oh the joy that floods my soul!
Something happened and now I know
He touched me and made me whole.
